The Katie Mae Foundation was founded in honor of Pastor Katie M. Mitchell. Born in 1949 and the eldest of 10 siblings. She had a built-in motherly instinct for caring and giving. She was also a great example to her 7 children.

Katie’s heart was rooted in humanitarian efforts. She desired to make the world a better place.  Her compassion was unmatched. She sheltered the homeless, and she provided a safe place for battered women and their children. Katie encouraged those that needed it with the wisdom she gained through her faith and pain. She provided backpacks and scholarships to students. She consistently raised awareness of the importance of giving and showing compassion for one’s fellowman. She worked tirelessly to motivate and mentor the next generation. She possessed a philanthropic spirit and a love for helping others.

The Katie Mae Foundation is committed to continuing the legacy of Pastor Katie M. Mitchell.
